I always get lots of people asking me where can I get my hands on some films – reel films. 16mm films, Super 8 films and projectors.
A great place for film collectors to buy and sell is the REEL DEALS magazine an Australian Magazine: 12 MONTHS SUBSCRIPTION (4 EDITIONS)
New Zealand: $ 20.00 air mail
Elsewhere: AU$ 25.00 air mail
The NFSA (National Film & Sound Archive of Australia) offers film and video for loan to cinemas, film festivals, film societies and educational, cultural and community organisations. Access is through two separate catalogues:
National Film & Sound Archive of Australia: http://www.nfsa.gov.au/collection/screening-loans/
Theatrical Loans: http://colsearch.nfsa.gov.au/nfsa/search/search.w3p;adv=;query=;resCount=
Non-theatrical lending collection: http://loans.nfsa.gov.au/htbin/wwform/076/wwk770
I hope these contacts help and you can always surf Ebay for films, however most sellers are in the USA, so watch the postage costs.
Happy film collecting & watching!
