500 people enjoy the riverside outdoor cinema at Renmark.

Road Movie Mobile Cinema’s forth trip to Renmark and our third screening for the Renmark and Paringa Council was located on the banks of the beautiful Murray River and featured a screening of the family animation ‘The Secret Life Of Pets’.

After a week of heavy downpours in the riverland the clouds finally parted for our first riverside outdoor cinema located in the heart of Renmark. Despite the rainy and cool week the weather was perfect for the 22nd of April show.

The mobile cinema was situated between the river and the classic Ozone Cinema that hasn’t been in operation for many years. However it’s frontage did provide comfortable seating for the local pigeons to enjoy the show from.

The setting matched the weather in perfection and was fantastically laid out with white picket fencing surrounding the audience and a great selection of food and drinks vans located behind the audience that were beautifully decorated with festoon lighting.

As the sun set and the house lights gradually dimmed the audience steadily grew, with final estimations on the numbers to be around 500 people and at least 20 pigeons.

Chris Pratt Teases ‘Scarier’ and ‘Darker’ ‘Jurassic World’ Sequel

Jurassic World made a stack of money, so it should come as no surprise that 2018 will see the release of the sequel. After the disappointing re-boot of the franchise I was ready to give up on any dino-goodness hitting the screen anytime soon. However I recently discovered that director J.A. Bayona was currently filming it’s sequel.

J.A. Bayona is the director behind the tsunami disaster movie ‘The Impossible’, kids creature film ‘A Monster Calls’  and creepy thriller ‘The Orphanage’. So if you combine all the elements of these three movies and add dinosaurs, I think you’ll have another movie for your must watch list of 2018. Hopefully he’ll have Bryce Dallas Howard take off her high heels this time and maybe give her a pair of sneakers to escape the dino’s.

Jurassic World screened to a fantastic audience at the Campbelltown Youth Outdoor Cinema screening at Thorndon Park in 2016.

We also screened the original Jurassic Park at the South Australian Museum to another packed audience. So hopefully the new Jurassic World will be more like the original with family friendly scares and thrills that you would expect from a Jurassic movie.

We can’t change the weather or install giant heaters, but our 6m, 4m and 3m wide screen cinemas are perfectly suited to moving indoors during the cooler seasons.  Our uniquely designed free standing screens can be erected quickly without the noisy blower required for inflatable screens.

Our mobile cinemas can return your local hall to it’s former glory or transform unique spaces into totally original cinematic events. We’ve had screenings in Library’s, Museums, Winery Barrel Rooms and more, and with a themed movie to compliment the location, you’ve got an exciting event that no other cinema’s can compete against.

We travel throughout South Australia and Western Victoria. Click here for an indoor cinema hire quote, we would love to discuss your cinema ideas.

Carpets for Communities Outdoor Cinema Fundraiser Testimonial

Carpets for Communities Outdoor Cinema Fundraiser Testimonial

‘For our recent fundraiser we had a charity movie night and employed the services of Andy and Road Movie Mobile Cinema. I found them to be very helpful, reliable and professional. They took the time to find out what we needed for the event and they delivered on everything they said they would do. Being a charity, we don’t like to spend any money, but we were glad we did, as road movie gave such a professional screening and we were able to successfully make a good profit for our charity from the movie night. I would definitely use Road Movie again for our next event.’
